Bangsal Harbor (port gateway to Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, Gili Meno)
Main gateway from Lombok island to Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air.
Sendang Gile Waterfalls
(En. Slightly Crazy Waterfalls). The
best known and most spectacular of the three. The water cascades
everywhere here breaking some 50 m above the main arrival point. From
Senaru village walk about 20 minutes to the southeast. The path is
pleasant and leads through some splendid tropical forest
Tiu Kelep Waterfalls
Less
spectacular but still very much worth it. Continue on uphill from
Sindang Gila for about 40-60 minutes (depending on your fitness - this
will involve a steep uphill climb and a creek crossing and several other
obstacles). Tiu Kelep has a nice bathing pool below the falls with very
cool invigorating water.
Gili Trawangan
Among Three tiny (gili) islands, Gili Trawangan is the best destination for tourist, carless and motorcycleless here. Theres only bikes and cidomo as transportation.
Gangga Waterfalls
A 7 km side tour off the coastal road, on a bumpy dirt road, will bring
you to the triple waterfall of Gangga. The size of the waterfalls are
not as exciting as getting to them. The first fall is straight forward.
The second one is reached by crossing in front of the plunging water of
the first and then balancing on some slippery bamboo poles. The last one
is the cave waterfall, below the two others. You have to walk upstream
in the riverbed, before you can see the water be pressed out of the
cliff face. If the water pressure is low, you can even climb up and
explore the crack where the water emerges from.
